This was just, amazing. As I was reading through this, I couldn't help but think (into the first 5 or so paragraphs) that you're... you're brilliant.
One of the things, or maybe the most major characteristic, that makes me love these boys is their group dynamics. I think more than the individual members themselves, I love how they are able to work so well with each other and in between them, despite the little disputes they have among them, playful or not, they will be able to work things out. Because they know how to put others before themselves, while at the same time not losing who they truly are.
You brought that out perfectly in this story, paralleling the space journey to their lives to stardom. How Sunggyu holds his true self back to be able to lead the rest well, how Dongwoo (while seemingly the most, indeed, light-headed) is a reminder to the rest that their obligations lie not only in pleasing others but pleasing themselves, how Woohyun subtly but surely holds Sunggyu up, how Hoya knows the members so well that he glues them together, how Sungyeol, despite his fears can stand up for the group, how Myungsoo in spite of himself has learned to trust in Infinite (imo, I think he loves the group the most... I mean I don't doubt the members love Infinite any less, but I feel proud of Myungsoo for that, you know?), and how Sungjong is indeed someone they all dote on (even if they tease him the most irl). Everything was so perfectly written out.
There are so many things I want to say about this, but I've forgotten them in the course of finishing it. However, no doubt this is the best Infinite fic that I've read. You've portrayed their personalities and characteristics perfectly (or perfectly according to how much we know about them) and how their inter-relationships are forged into what we all know as the bond the boys share. Knowing that they must've started off roughly like Sunggyu and Woohyun, Myungsoo and Sungyeol, as the bumpy relationship between Sunggyu and Woohyun was revealed to us, I often wonder if the union of all the members was because Woollim had known that they have personalities that would fit each other, or if their bond was forged on their own doing?
In any case I cannot express how much I love this fic. I think that only true fans of Infinite would be able to understand this fully, because as I was reading this my head kept making references to shows, interviews, etc where they revealed certain aspects of themselves and their teamwork. It's this very synchronisation of not only their dances but of their hearts and minds as well that I think Infinite is my favourite group, ever. (It's funny because I was just watching the second invasion concert yesterday and again was writhing in the perfection of their group dynamics and today you've verbalised everything.) Even though my bias is Sunggyu, I don't doubt that it's hard to stick to one bias because they're all so lovable, but more than that it says something about why you can't love one member without loving others; when you see how well they function together. Imo that's why I don't like watching shows when not all members are present.
I apologise for this superbly long comment T_T (I'm sorry please don't hate me :( ) But I just agreed with so many things in this story that I just have to flail about it. Again, really nicely written. :)
